Youth group takes toilet hygiene campaign to Jabi park

A youth group, Youth Wash Africa, has confirmed that it would hold a hygiene campaign at the popular Jabi motor park along the Obafemi Awolowo way, Abuja, on November 18, 2017.

This is contained in a statement by the Programme Coordinator of the group Comrade Nature Uchenna Obiakor, who noted that "Youth WASH Africa's "Cleanup & Toilet4All" Campaign is designed to provide hands-on sensitisation on environmental hygiene, promote toilet construction, cleaning and maintenance, and promote behavioural change by raising awareness about the importance of good hygiene, recycling and effects of open defecation."

He said "Join us at Jabi motor park Abuja on 18th November 2017 at 9am for World Toilet Day celebration, the event would feature #Music4WASH, Dance4WASH, #ToiletExhibition, #PublicEnlightenment, #ToiletAdvocacy and #YouthWASHAmbassadorAward"

According to him the campaign is supported by UNICEF, WaterAid, Action Against Hunger, Area Council Service Secretariat, Abuja Municipal Area Council and Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
