Adewole advocates synergy among health regulatory bodies

Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has urged leaders of health professional bodies to ensure harmonious working relationship among their members.  

He made the call when members of the Committee of Registrars of Health Professions, CRHP, made an advocacy visit to his office recently, in Abuja.  

Adewole, who commended the committee for their visit, said there was need for more networking and consultative meetings in the health sector, stressing that all health practitioners are essentially related.  

He further stressed that more regular meetings between various health associations and the ministry would help the sector nib brewing challenges and end the use of strikes to settle grievances.  

Speaking earlier, leader of the delegation, Alhaji Mohammed Mami, said that the visit was to improve their working relationship with the ministry and appealed to the minister to look into the speedy reconstitution of boards of management for the various health professional bodies.  

Mami also appealed for more funds to be allocated to the body to enable it carry out its constitutional responsibility of field visitation to the 35,000 health facilities and regulatory bodies under its purview.
