Abuja to host 1st ever Dancers Award

style="text-align:justify">The nation's capital gears up to host the first ever Dancers Award tagged; “The Grand Awards” organized by 360 Grand TV, an entertainment outfit. 

According to the publicity secretary of the outfit, Zana Onwe, the Grand Awards is an event aimed at educating, empowering and promoting dancers in Nigeria and Africa at large. 

"The event will be organised to arrest the rising rate of violence, youth joblessness, school dropout, political thuggery, negative peer pressure, poverty, drug abuse, suicidal activities and restiveness in the country," she said.

She observed that the award would build the enthusiasm of the Nigerian dancers and hype their personal profiles.

Onwe said the aim of this event is; to use dance as a tool of change and correction in attitude, perception and mindset of the teeming youths, to create awareness on the importance of dance to the general public, to encourage and support hard working dancers, to contribute to the growth of the dance industry.
