Bwari council to sanction sanitation defaulters

Head Department of Environmental Sanitation in Bwari Area Council, Alh. Haruna Labaran, has given indication that the council would continue to sanction defaulters of environmental sanitation in the council. 

He who disclosed this in a chat with our correspondent noted that the department under his watch would leave no stone unturned to allow indiscriminate refuse dumping, stressing that the council chairman has provided necessary assistance to the department to keep the entire council clean. 

Labaran environmental health expert enjoined residents to cooperate with the officials of the department to ensure prompt evacuation of refuse in and around Bwari metropolis, adding that the council is working hand in hand with private waste managers saddled with the responsibility of moving from one house to collect refuse. 

The HOD reiterated commitment of the department to keep on to educate households to provide toilet facilities, adding that violators would be made to face full wrath of the law. 

The environmental officer called on community leaders to sensitise their people on good hygiene, even as he implored the residents to keep their surrounding, offices, shop, drainages clean at all times.
