Police, stakeholders meet over one chance in Zuba


The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Zuba, a suburb of Gwagwaldada area council, Sani Fodio has solicited the support of stakeholders to tackle the menace of "one chance" and robbery in the area. 

He made this known while interacting with residents of the area when they paid him a courtesy call on assumption of duty, while encouraging them to always provide useful information in the fight against crime. 

Fodio, who is a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, assured the residents that he would propagate community policing, and implored them to regard security as a collective responsibility. 

The Zuba police boss reiterated his commitment to members of the vigilante, Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, to make them efficient, even as he tasked ward and village heads as well as Fulani vigilante to forward the list of their members for scrutiny. 

The DPO called on religious and community leaders to be vigilant and preach peaceful coexistence to residents to embrace peace and shun any act of violence, even as he implored aggrieved individuals to send their complaints to the appropriate quarters.
