FCTA gets new director of human resources

In a bid to sustain efficient service delivery system, the Federal Capital Territory Administration has approved the appointment of Dr. Lazarus Gaza, as the new director in charge of Human Resources Management of the administration. 

Our correspondent gathers that the appointment which has been approved by the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, takes immediate effect. 

Until his appointment, Gaza was the director, Admin and Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.

Gaza, who hails from Pyakasa village of the Abuja Municipal Area Council of FCT, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (B. A. Hons) in History and Political Science in 1985 from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, before he proceeded to obtain his Doctorate Degree in Geography from the same university in 2008. 


His career progression cuts across various disciplines of human management. He was Managing Director, Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, Federal Ministry of Water Resources between 2015 to 2016, Director, FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board between 2008 to 2014, Head of Department of Administration, Area Council Service Commission between 2004 to 2006 and Council Secretary, Abuja Municipal Area Council between 2003 to 2004. 

Gaza is a Fellow, Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management.
