Police to meet stakeholders on security challenges in Kwali

The Divisional Police Office, DPO, in charge of Kwali area council, CSP, Sabo Majidadi, has said that the division would hold security meeting next week with a view to brainstorming with various stakeholders aimed at addressing security challenges in the area.

He made this known to The Abuja Inquirer in his office, noting that those invited for the meeting include members of police community relations committee, PCRC, vigilantes, traditional and religious leaders as well as the political class.

The police boss maintained that the main agenda of the meeting would focus on reviving the operations of the PCRC, as it has been observed the committee has not been functioning as expected and the need to make members realise their roles is necessary for the benefit of the community.

The DPO solicited the support and cooperation of members of the public to enable security agents in the area combat crime headlong, just as he encouraged residents of Kwali to always regard crime fighting as a collective responsibility.

Some members of PCRC interviewed lauded the efforts of the new DPO in his effort to work closely with members of the public.
