FCT PDP chair applauds aspirants, delegates on peaceful primary
The FCT chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alh. Ibrahim Biko, has commended aspirants and delegates of the party for conducting themselves during the just concluded primary election of the party for the Abuja South federal constituency.
He made the commendation at Kwali town hall, noting that the election was free, fair and transparent devoid of rancor, just as he implored losers to support the flag bearers of the party to enable the PDP win the forthcoming House of Representatives election.
The PDP stalwart enjoined all members of the party to rally round their candidates who emerged during the primary with a view to giving the All progressives Congress, APC, a close fight during the general election, adding that PDP in the FCT would present credible candidate that would bring socio-economic development to the territory.
Biko warned youths to shun politics of thuggery and avoid taking laws into their hands, just as he tasked eligible voters to collect their permanent voter cards ahead of the elections.
Meanwhile, former FCT Commissioner Federal Character Commission representing FCT and Niger state, Dr. Hassan Sokodabo, polled 278 votes to emerge the flag bearer of the party after beating his opponents Hon. Isah Dobi and Constance Amadi who scored 116 and 36 votes, respectively.
