Wizkid ‘buys’ N101m Lamborghini Urus

Nigerian pop star, Wizkid, has reportedly acquired a new Lamborghini Urus which is said to be worth almost $280,000 (N101 Million).

The pop star was seen in a video on his Instagram page sampling the car.

Wizkid recently released his video for `Fever’, which broke the internet and recorded over two million views in less than 48 hours.

He joined the list of highest paid artists in the world following his performance at a royal wedding at one of the world’s top private residences, Umaid Bhawan Palace in India.

He was reported to have been paid 50 million Rupees $681,200, (N245.9 million) to give a live performance, and he got Indians dancing to his “Soco’’, “Fake Love’’ and more at the wedding.

Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, “One Dance”, which reached number one in 15 countries, including the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

He was ranked fifth on Forbes and Channel O’s 2013 list of the top 10 richest/bankable African artists, and in 2014 he became the first Nigerian musician to have over one million followers on Twitter.


How I discovered my hidden talent – Sola Sobowale

Veteran Nollywood actress, Sola Sobowale has revealed that while on set of KemiAdetiba’s latest movie project titled ‘King of boys’, she discovered hidden talents she never knew she possessed.

The versatile actress made the revelation on her Instagram page, recalling how Kemi Adetiba helped her to discover her hidden talents.

“To every one of you, who has posted, tagged, reposted/shared, commented, text, called, and supported the entirety of this project, I cannot thank you enough. You all made me feel like a, (for want of another word), King. All Glory be to God for making this project possible even though we thought it would not see the light of day. Regardless of adversities and setbacks, we finally made it. Thank you God and thank you all. I cannot wait for you to see this film. I have never worked the way I worked like this in my life. It took everything I had and Kemi Adetiba still pushed me further, unlocking depths of my craft I never knew existed”, she wrote.


Cece Winans storm Nigeria for Women of Praise 2018 concert

Cece Winans, an American gospel singer and multiple Grammy Awards winner, born Priscilla Marie Winans, will feature in the 2018 Women of Praise (WoP) inaugural concert scheduled for November.

The organisers of WoP concert, Southwest Media and Encase Group Presentation, made the disclosure to news men on Sunday in Lagos. They stated that gospel musicians had hitherto been limited to the church which had restricted their music from being heard and urged them to come out of the four walls of the church.

“Even if you are not a Christian, Christian music still uplifts, it is where you find solace and where you find peace and joy. Also, Nigerian music culture is inspiring to the world at the circular field even the Christian field.

“Although the Christian field has not been given the proper channel and platform to carry it to the next level, so, we said, why not come together first of all as Christians.

“Then as children of God to empower our women who have been very boisterous in the gospel industry amid the challenges they have broken through. “an artiste like Sinach, who is now listed in Forbs as one of the highest paid gospel artist in the world,’’ he said.

The programme scheduled to hold on Nov. 29 in Abuja and Dec. 2 in Owerri, will feature an international act from the U.S. Cece Winans and other local musicians like Sinach, Ada, Chinyere Udoma and Onos among others.


American model, Blac Chyna, visits Abuja for private pool party

American model Angela Renée White, a.k.a Blac Chyna, has announced that she will be visiting Abuja for a party.

The former stripper and mother-of-one disclosed this on her IG page, describing Nigeria as her ‘motherland.’

She wrote: ‘Hello Nigeria!!! I am visiting the motherland finally to party with the playnetworkafr in Abuja. Shout out to Charlesofplay and hit him up for invites.”

Manager of Play Network Africa, Miss Arafat Balogun, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja confirmed that a deal worth $30,000 has been struck between the model and PNA.

According to her, a deal has been struck with Blac Chyna’s management team to host its 13th annual private pool party on November 24, in Abuja.

“A deal in the excess of N10m has been agreed, excluding travel plans and accommodation. It is going to be a private event at an undisclosed location.”

The curvy model shares a daughter with Rob Kardashian, a sibling of reality queen, Kim Kardashian.
