Abaji PDP flag bearer begins campaign against vote buying

The flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abaji area council, Alh. Inuwa Ashafa, has said that he would embark on voter education to educate the electorate on the danger associated with vote buying.

He disclosed this to The Abuja Inquirer, noting that his campaign strategy was to canvass votes for PDP as well as electoral education aimed at sensitizing the residents to know the value of their civic rights.

Ashafa said that he decided to join the chairmanship race of Abaji in order to improve the quality of infrastructure in Abaji and environs, noting that since 2016 when APC took the mantle of leadership in the area no meaningful development has been witnessed in the council.

The flag bearer cautioned politicians to abide by electoral laws with a view to having a hitch free election in 2019, just as he implored youths to shun thuggery and other immoral acts capable of causing chaos and violence in the area.

Ashafa called on party loyalists to continue contributing their quota for the success of PDP in the forthcoming FCT area councils’ election, just as he assured the residents that he would operate all inclusive government devoid of ethnic and religious sentiments.
