Kwali PDP aspirant commended for team spirit

Members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwali area council have applauded the wise decision of one of the aspirants of the party in the just concluded primary election, Alh. Haruna Tambaya for backing the candidature of Hon. Ibrahim Daniel to win the forthcoming FCT area councils elections.

They made the commendation during a reconciliatory meeting organized by the state chapter of the party in Kwali to bring aggrieved members together with a view to forming a formidable front to confront the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The FCT PDP chairman Alh. Ibrahim Biko told the gathering that he is satisfied with the behavour of members of the party in Kwali, noting that Tambaya has carved a niche for himself as well as written his name in gold for resolving to work together with the flag bearer.

Earlier, Tambaya said that he decided to remain in PDP and work for the victory of the party at the polls because of the desire to see rapid socio-economic development to take place in the area, noting that only PDP has the manifesto to deliver dividends of democracy to the electorate.

The party stalwart said that he is happy with the victory of Daniel at the primary, just as he admonished politicians to always see that power comes from God and gives it to whoever He chooses.

On his part, Daniel thanked the aspirant for the love she has shown and interest indicated to work for the progress and development of the area as well as to uplift the standard of living of the residents of the area.

The former Kwali chairman called on the electorate in Kwail and environs to visit polling centres to cross check their names in the voter's register, noting that the act would afford them the opportunity to lodge compliant if there is error in capturing their names.
