Owu kingdom to honour NCWS president

President of National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, Mrs. Gloria Shoda, will receive one of the most prestigious female chieftaincy titles in Owu kingdom.

In a press statement issued in Abuja by NCWS revealed that the council's president will be bestowed with the chieftaincy title of Aare Iya Lode of Ibogun Owu kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Oba Fakayode Faluade Anikinnikun Ilufemiloye 1, the Olu of Ibogun Owu kingdom.

The statement also stated that the traditional title is in recognition of her enormous contributions to the plight of women and children in the society.

It reveals that the epoch event will commenced on December 6, 2018 and climaxed on December 9, 2018 with the coronation as Aare Iya Lode of Ibogun Owu kingdom of Ogun state.

In a related development, the entire members of National Council of Women Society of Nigeria heartily felicitate with their amiable national president, Chief Gloria Laraba Shoda mni on the chieftaincy title to be bestowed on her.

While wishing her success, the council also called on other women leaders to join hands in the rebuilding of a greater Nigeria.
