Candido commissions microfinance bank
As part of efforts to boost small scale businesses, the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Hon. Adamu Candido, last week commissioned the AMAC microfinance bank.
He said that the objective of the financial institution is to open a new door of opportunities to the teaming small business owners to access loans with little or no interest to boost businesses of AMAC residents.
The chairman also acknowledged the role played by stakeholders and assured them of the safety of their monies, adding that they will soon begin to yield the fruits of their investments.
During the event, chairman board of directors and implementation committee, Mr. Emmanuel Ohakim, said that the microfinance bank will offer services that will lift the standard of living of the vulnerable groups such as women, youths, artisans and physical challenged persons.
He added that the bank will partner with the chairman of the council to see that all his initiatives are accomplished without hitches.
The AMAC MFB Bank is operational and offer the following products AMFB Savings Account, AMFB salary Advance, AMFB Light Up Your Business among others.
