JMPP flags off nationwide campaign, as candidate takes oath

The presidential candidate of Justice Must Prevail Party, JMPP, Apostle Sunday Eguzolugo, has officially flagged off campaigns for the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Also, the presidential candidate took oath to live by the dictates of the 12 items contained in the party's manifesto if elected as president.

Making the declaration at the Diplomatic Park Garden in Area 1, Garki, Abuja, the presidential hopeful stated that he will ensure no member of his cabinet is involved in corruption and sexual immorality.

He disclosed that every member of his team and every organ of the government must comply fully with the conditions of the oath, stressing that governorship candidates and other elective position seekers must adhere to the provisions.

“I can assure you that any breach of this oath will be met with severe penalty. All the candidates have all agreed to be guided by it. This is not about integrity. It is only the 12 pillars of oath that can wipe off all the evil in Nigeria. Corruption and other negative vices will be brought to a standstill once we form the next government in 2019. What will solve the problem of Nigeria is what we have done today.

‘’This is the party that God sent to Nigeria to save it from all forms of abominations in the country. It is built on covenant not promises. Other political parties are building hopes on promises. And you know covenant is superior to promises. It is on the covenant party like the JMPP that can save the nation from total collapse. We have over 763 candidates for all the elective positions and they have declared to take this oath. This is the only way.

“It is not about promises because it can fail. And we have seen that promises have failed Nigeria. And there are two types of oath which is promise and covenant. Oath of promise doesn’t have negative effect if you violate it. But oath of covenant has a negative effect if you violate it’’, he noted.

The national chairman of the party, Dr. Olusegun Ijagbemi, in his opening remarks said the oath is a sacrosanct act that must be performed by all the candidates, stating that it is the first evidence to show that the party will turn around the fortune of the country because of its divine mandate to rescue the nation under the 12 pillars of oath establishing the party.
