I’m still with Mavin Record –Tiwa Savage

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has debunked rumours of her exit from Mavin Records which she signed into since 2012.






The 39-year-old mother of one was signed to Mavin Records owned by renowned producer, Don Jazzy.

The performer had paid a courtesy visit to The Temple Management Company recently, after which group photographs were taken.

Since the photos surfaced online, fans and other blogs have assumed that she dumped Mavin Records for good.

The celebrity, however, said the news was not true. Savage currently has a song writing deal with Sony/ATV Publishing, one of the world’s largest music publishing administrators.


Tax evasion: Monalisa Chinda clears air on allegation, shares proof

Popular Nigerian actress and producer, Monalisa Chinda Coker, has refuted allegations of tax evasion as widely reported in the media.

The actress who made the rebuttal in a statement released by her lawyers and made available to journalists described the report of a 6-year tax evasion case against her person as a libelous publication.

A statement by her lawyers read: “Emeka Odikpo & Associates are the Solicitors to Mrs. Monalisa Chinda and on her instructions do hereby issue the following statement: “That Mrs Monalisa Chinda Coker received with rude shock the libelous publication against her of a 6-year tax evasion case.

“It is unfortunate that this tendentious and wholly false information has been spread through Social Media and even the formal media against the person and reputation of Monalisa Coker.

“Mrs Coker hereby states that she has never received any summons whatsoever from Lagos State Internal Revenue Service or from any Court.

“Mrs Monalisa Coker hereby formally states that all businesses from which she earns income are based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and that her personal income tax status should be the exclusive preserve of Rivers State Government.”

The beauty entrepreneur has once again spoken on relationships and dating within one’s means.

According to the vlogger in one of her videos online, people need to date within their means to avoid insults and unrealistic expectations.

Sharing a new video on Instagram, Toke again revisited the issue saying if a man sees a working woman, he should only approach her if he has something to bring to the table if not, that man needs to leave the woman alone.

She wrote, “Last week’s Vlog had a lot of people in their feelings. I’m a mess, I know.

“All your comments left me in stitches, I have come to the conclusion that it is very important to date within your means.

“Cinderella’s story is cute but it does not happen to everyone, If people begin to respect their wage and date in their capacity, there will be less insults, unrealistic expectations and more peace.

“If you see a lady hustling on her own and trying to make a life for herself, if you can’t bring anything to the table please leave her alone!!! Too many people making you feel guilty for wanting more out of life.”

For months, there have been rumours that actors Yvonne Jegede and Olakunle “Abounce” Fawole‘s marriage was in crisis.

Well, Yvonne has now confirmed that they are no longer living together and have gone their separate ways in an explosive interview.

“We started having issues before the birth of Xavier (their son). I think I was about two to three months pregnant when the issues came. Immediately the issues came, there was never a dull moment, it just kept going up and up and it got worse and it got bad and today here we are,” she said.

She continued: “Right now, we are not living together, and we are not living as husband and wife, we are not husband and wife anymore and I would say a mutual agreement to go our separate ways. It didn’t work out, it wasn’t working out.”

Jegede who also responded to rumours about the paternity of her son Xavier, saying Abounce “is 100% sure he’s his son”.

“I don’t call him. I only reached out to him when I feel the need to because he knows Xavier is his son, he is 100% sure he’s his son.

“He’s been to the house twice after we got back to the country, he’s come to see his son twice and he has pictures with his son on his phone which I took so why he’s not posting them, maybe his personal reasons, maybe he’s not like me who is showing my joy to the world. I don’t know but is that enough to give me a name? No, you don’t give me a name like that. Common! That is not right, people tried to bully me or make dry joke over this, about my life, would you be happy if I were your sister but anyways, I am here, I am strong and will be strong for my son. I have morals to set for him and what the world is about.” She said.

Yvonne disclosed that she and Abounce had sweet moments together during their marriage.

The couple got married in a simple ceremony in 2017 and welcomed Xavier in November 2018.
