Card reader rejected me tree times, says Kwali chair

The chairman of Kwali area council, Hon. Joseph Shazin, has applauded the use of the card reader by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, though the machine could not read his fingerprint thrice.

Speaking to The Abuja Inquirer after casting his vote at Central Primary School, Kwali, the council boss explained that the incident happened during the last presidential.

Shazin, who is also the FCT ALGON chairman, said he and his wife spent less than ten minutes to be screened and accredited during the exercise on Saturday.

He commended the INEC for its performance and called on residents of Kwali to be law abiding citizens during and after the poll.

Shazin, who is serving his last term in office, expressed optimism that the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Danladi Chiya, would win the election.

He noted that the members of APC in the Abuja South federal constituency had to go back to the drawing board after the disastrous outing during the presidential and National Assembly elections in order to avoid defeat.

He enjoined those who lost the election to regard leadership as an act of God even as he implored them to join hands with the winners to move the area council forward.
