APC expresses confidence to retain Kwali

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwali area council, Alh Aliyu Sheda, has said that his members have the confidence of retaining the chairmanship seat of the area.

Speaking to The Abuja Inquirer after the inconclusive election in the area, the Kwali APC stalwart revealed that units where the supplementary election would be held are APC's stronghold.

He called on the residents of Kwali and environs to remain law abiding citizens and come out to vote for the candidates of APC in the supplementary election.

Sheda implored youths to give peace a chance and shun any form thuggery and other electoral malpractices that would mar the credibility of the election.

The chairman tasked Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to give equal opportunity to the participating political parties, just as he implored security agents to provide tight security in the area.

He called on APC supporters to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner after the announcement of the results, warning that the party would not support any negative act capable of causing violence and chaos in the name of celebration.
