FG dissolves Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Oko

President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the dissolution of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Arc. Sonny Echono, says the dissolution is with immediate effect.

It says further that the Federal Government appreciates the services the former Council members rendered to the polytechnic, wishing them success in their future endeavours.

The Statement did not however give reasons for the dissolution of the council, but our correspondent gathered that the Council which was chaired by had served its tenure of four years and the federal government declined to renew its tenure.
