Police, Apo residents to promote community policing

Residents of Apo resettlement, a suburb in Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, have given indication that they would sustain the existing working relationship with police with a view to promoting community policing in Apo and environs.

In a chat with The Abuja Inquirer, a vigilante member, Elder John Christian, said that they have been working round the clock with security officers to tackle crime in the area, just as he warned hoodlums perpetrating crime to desist from the act or face the wrath of the law.

Another member of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Mr. Augustine Samuel, said crime rate in the resettlement has drastically reduced, even as he attributed the successes recorded to the combined efforts of patrol officers of the division.

He applauded the senior officer in charge of the division, CSP Emega John, for carrying his subordinates along and providing exemplary leadership.
