Expert reads riot act to sanitation defaulters in Kuje

The environmental health expert and Head of Department of Environmental Sanitation in Kuje area council, Alh. Sani Adamu, has warned residents of the area to stop indiscriminate refuse dumping in the area. 

He gave the warning in a chat with The Abuja Inquirer while encouraging members of the public to always adhere strictly to FCT environmental laws. 

The HOD equally cautioned residents of Kuje and its environs to desist from dumping refuse in the drainage, noting that the act is a bad habit that cause erosion. 

Adamu solicited the support and cooperation of the residents to comply with the directive of the department to be dumping refuse in the designated sites and shun littering the streets. 

He reiterated commitment to continue with advocacy to motivate members of the public to cultivate the culture of keeping their environment clean. 

The health expert enjoined households and shop owners to build toilets in their premises, noting that the department would set up mobile court in the area to sanction defaulters.
