FCTA pledge support for Buhari

Authority of the Federal Capital Territory Administration has pledged to support President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to steer the country on the path of social harmony, security and economic recovery. 

The FCT permanent secretary, Mr Christian Ohaa, made this known after he hosted some FCT delegations who paid him Sallah homage in Abuja. 

Speaking during the visit, Ohaa urged residents of the territory particularly the Muslims faithful to use the occasion of Eld-el-fitr celebrations and pray for peaceful coexistence in the country. 

Ohaa also called on the residents to pray for peace and the success of President Buhari’s second term in office for economic prosperity. 

The permanent secretary, who stressed that no country can develop without peace, assured that, "the people of FCT are solidly behind President Muhammadu Buhari policies and programmes and also pledge our support and cooperation in the coming years ahead. 

"We in the FCT will continue to do our part to ensure that you succeed in your second term in office starting of course with first celebration of our Democracy Day on June 12, 2019." 

He further stated that "on this day as we celebrate the end of Ramadan, we pray that Almighty Allah blesses and sustains you and your family, we pray that your administration succeeds in all that it has set out to do and above all, we pray that our country Nigeria, under your watch remains a great, prosperous and indivisible nation.” 

Earlier, the senator representing the FCT at the National Assembly, Philip Aduda, assured residents of the territory that the 9th Assembly would support any programme and policies that would bring peace and stability in the FCT. 

Other members of the delegation include politicians from the FCT mostly members of the All Progressives Congress, traditional rulers, religious leaders, top management staff of the FCT and head of security agencies in the territory amongst other dignitaries
