Abaji lawmakers to enact law to protect electorate

The Speaker of Abaji area council, Hon. Musa Ghali, has given indication that the legislative arm would enact laws that could protect the interest of the electorate. 

He disclosed this in a chat with journalists at the legislative chamber, even as he reiterated commitment that the legislators would work in harmony with the executive arm throughout his tenure. 

Ghali, who is a member representing South East ward Abaji, implored residents of the area to support government programmes and policies for development to thrive in the area. 

He also promised to lead the legislative arm with the fear of God, just as he solicited the support and cooperation of his colleagues to sponsor bills that have direct bearing on the lives of people of the council. 

The speaker noted that the House under his watch would operate within the ambit of the law to ensure dividends of democracy are provided to the residents of Abaji. 

The lawmaker tasked residents of the council to support security agents in the ongoing fight against insecurity, just as he enjoined them to always provide useful information to the police for necessary action.
