Monarch, chairman laud police on crime prevention in Abaji
The chairman, FCT Traditional Council of Chiefs and Ona of Abaji, Alh. Adamu Yunusa, has lauded police officers for tackling criminality in the area.
He made the commendation recently when FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, visited his palace as part of tour to monitor activities at the police divisional headquarters across the six area councils.
The monarch tasked the DPO in charge of the area, CSP Umar Musa, to sustain the successes recorded in crime fighting and control, just as he encouraged the residents to always provide intelligent information to the police.
The traditional ruler implored rank and file officers in the division to put on more efforts in combating crime headlong, even as he tasked them to follow the footsteps of the DPO for showing commitment and hard work to duty.
Contributing, the chairman of the council, Hon. Abdulrahman Ajiya, expressed readiness to assist the security agencies to ensure crime rate reduced to the barest minimum in Abaji and environs.
He gave assurance that his administration would provide support to the division.
The Abaji chairman also called traditional and religious leaders in the area to join the campaign against curbing crime and insurgency, even as he tasked them on vigilance and prompt report of suspicious movement of strangers in their surroundings.
