Rita Dominic makes case for another rape victim

While the dust raised over the rape allegation levelled against Commonwealth of Zion Assembly’s, COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo by singer, Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola Dakolo is yet to settle, Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic is championing another rape case, involving a minor. The ugly incident happened in 2016.

According to a post on her Instagram page, Rita is calling for the prosecution of a 28-year-old Idris Ebiloma, who she alleged raped a 4-year and three months old Miss Khloe on the 31st of August, 2016.

The alleged rapist reportedly was the cook in the victim’s home in Asokoro in Abuja before the incident happened.

There was vaginal and anal penetration of that little girl. The victim’s mother was said to have reported the matter to the police and she was compelled to drop charges against the alleged rapist which she refused and insisted on getting justice for her daughter.

“Khloe’s mother has had a lot of challenges prosecuting the rapist from the police prosecutor, Mr John .I. who refused to tender all the evidence in court, the video of the little girl’s ordeal and other evidence. The mother has been following up the matter and has been frustrated following how the Nigeria Police FCT Command has handled the matter. All thanks to the Current CP who cautioned the OC Legal to prosecute the matter without a biased mind a few weeks ago.

“The Human Right Commission is aware of this case and has refused to step in even after the victim’s mother wrote a petition to the commission and was told by a staff of the commission never to come back again. This matter has lingered and the rapist feels he is above the law because he has the backing of influential Nigerians who have intimidated the victim’s mother.

“This is one of the many rape cases in the FCT especially that of minors. All the mother of Khloe wants is justice for her daughter who deserves justice, an innocent girl who should be protected by her blood but was sent away because her mother stood on the path of truth,” .

Former BBNaija star urges parental responsibility

Former BBNaija housemate, Bamike ‘Bambam’ Olawunmi, has realised the importance of child training as she recently gave parents advice on how to raise their kids on social media.

In a series of tweets, Bambam urged parents to raise their children to be responsible and even flog and smack entitlement out of them.

She explained that several unsavoury reports in recent times have made her realise the importance of child training. Bambam also added that both parents should be responsible for raising the child.

She also urged parents to listen to their children as they would be surprised by what they have to say.

A number of people agreed with Bambam as they echoed her message about child training.

I don’t care that I’m called Antichrist —Freeze

Broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, has ruffled more than a few feathers with his brand of evangelism.

Much to the annoyance and consternation of conventional clerics, the OAP has consistently stated that the payment of tithes is not Biblical.

According to him, it is just a way that ‘men of God’ use to fleece their congregations of their hard-earned money.

Because of his controversial stance, some have accused him of waging a war against the church, even to the point of labeling him as the Antichrist. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Freeze said he wasn’t bothered about such appellation.

On how he feels whenever he is called the Antichrist, Freeze said, “Christ Himself was called the Antichrist; so, who am I to care? Christ was so controversial that in just His third year of ministry, He was killed. He entered the temple and flogged people out for misusing the building. Do you know how controversial that was? I haven’t even flogged anyone yet and they are already calling me the Antichrist.

“The real Antichrists are on the pulpit; you go and pay them visits every Sunday. If you have a message that is against Christ’s message, you are the Antichrist. If you are preaching (about) tithes and first fruits, you are the Antichrist. If you are looking for the real Antichrists, check your churches and pulpits. People go to worship in the church of the Antichrists and call me the Antichrist, not realising that I’m the one reminding them of what Christ actually wants. That’s hypocritical.”

“I can’t date boys who use condoms to prevent pregnancy”

Nollywood siren, Joy Marcus, has delved into her relationship style, insisting there are boys and men, and she prefers the latter.

According to Joy in an interview with Punch Newspapers, her preference for ‘men’ is because they can stand up to their responsibilities like not denying pregnancy.

“I don’t do boys but I do men because a boy is someone that cannot take responsibilities. A man is someone who can handle anything that comes out of the relationship.

“For instance, I can’t date a boy who I would have to use a condom with to prevent me from getting pregnant because he is not ready for a baby yet. But a man is up to the task and if I tell him I am pregnant, he would start making plans to marry me,” she said.

Speaking on Nollywood, she noted that “the industry is really growing compared to when I started. I have spent about 11 years in the industry and I can boldly say that there is a huge improvement in the industry.

“Now, we are more exposed and widely read. Also, we all are putting many things into the industry because we want the best for it. Back then, when I was still acting in English-speaking movies and I was practically a nobody, I usually got paid anytime I was on location. The English-speaking movie sector is well organised but I don’t know if they are still that way. But in the Yoruba movie sector, you have to learn under a boss. I won’t say I prefer the English-speaking movies to Yoruba ones, but in terms of money, English is far better.”
