Kogi indigenes in Gwagwalada drum re-election support for Bello
Indigenes of Kogi State residing in Gwagwalada area aouncil have continued to drum support for the re-election bid of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The residents, under the auspices of Governor Yahaya Bello, GYB, movement, gathered to register their support for the governor who emerged the APC governorship candidate last Thursday.
Speaking to journalists, coordinator of the movement, Alli Abdulrahman, called on the electorate to vote for the most credible candidate during the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi, just as he noted that the incumbent governor deserves second term to enable him complete his agenda for the people.
The coordinator lauded the governor on tackling the menace of kidnapping, roads rehabilitation, as well as payment of back log of salary arrears among others.
Abdulrahman said that those criticizing the governor were doing because he rejected godfathersism in the state.
On his part, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Yakubu Isah, called on indigenes of the state to see the significance of the election and move to their various communities to vote during the November governorship election.
Isah tasked eligible voters to visit INEC to collect their PVCs to enable them exercise their franchise, even as he noted that re-electing Bello would give him more opportunities to complete on-going projects.
