Bauchi partners UBEC on model schools
The Bauchi State Government and the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, are combining efforts to improve basic education delivery through the Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA, programme.
The programme which is aimed at providing model infrastructure and access to UBE opportunities is an initiative of the Federal Government towards reducing the growing number of out-of-school children.
Minister of State for Education, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, in company of UBEC Executive Secretary, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi and other officials held discussions with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, last Wednesday to improve partnership to drive the programme.
A statement from UBEC said the officials advocated for commitment of the State towards enhancing the utilization of available UBE interventions as it prepares for the Ground-breaking ceremony of the UBEC North East Zonal Model School in Bauchi.
Nwajiuba noted at the parley that Bauchi State had the capacity to project best standards to the North East in terms of quality basic education delivery,
On his part, Governor Mohamed and other state officials expressed delight over Federal Government’s renewed interest in the provision of inclusive and quality education in the country.
The governor restated the State’s commitment towards providing the necessary political will and resources to actualize its dreams for improved basic education service delivery.
He further reaffirmed the resolve of the current Bauchi administration to provide regional leadership in exemplifying best practices in effective Federal-State partnership for quality UBE delivery.
