Minister commends FERMA for road maintenance in Abuja

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Aliyu, has lauded efforts of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, in road maintenance across the territory.

Aliyu, made the commendation when the management staff of Federal Road Maintenance Agency led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Nuruddeen Rafindadi, paid her a congratulatory visit.

The minister who noted that FERMA has diligently and competently carried out its functions across the length and breadth of the nation, called for closer collaboration between the Federal Capital Territory Administration and FERMA.

She assured the agency that the FCT Administration will continue to strengthen the relationship between both organisations, just as she called on residents of the territory not to vandalize FERMA facilities in the territory.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of FERMA, Engr. Nuruddeen Rafindadi, congratulated the minister on her appointment, stressing that the FCT Administration is very important to FERMA as a host city to many government agencies.

Rafindadi, also noted that the FCT Administration is presiding over a state and at the same time carrying out administrative tasks for the presidency, just as he urged the Administration to treat other agencies as special.  

While congratulating the Minister on what he described as "long deserved recognition", he also pledged to consolidate the cordial relationship in road maintenance within the territory.  

“We are here on informal visit and to use the occasion to congratulate you on your long deserved recognition both for the nation and your party, the All Progressives Congress, APC. You really worked for the development of women and by extension the nation.

“To us at FERMA, the territory is very important to us as host government agency and large number of our professional colleagues reside in Abuja. Please treat everybody as special.”
