FCT NUT elects new officials

The Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT, has elected new officials to run its affairs.

The newly elected chairman of the NUT in the FCT, Comrade Stephen Knababyi, has assured members of quality leadership aimed at taking education in the territory to greater height.

He also reiterated his commitment to give members sense of belonging by introducing programmes that would promote members’ welfare.

The NUT boss urged members to give his leadership the support and understanding it needs to achieve objectives and goals of the union.

Knababyi also promised to run an all-inclusive government and promised to work closely with the FCTA to uplift education and welfare of his members.

Earlier, the outgoing chairman, Comrade Hassan Jibir, prayed God to guide and direct the new executives, charging them to always fight for the interest of the union.
