NDDC: Ex agitators commend PMB on forensic audit

A coalition of ex-Niger Delta agitators under the aegis of 1st Phase Ex-Agitator's Forum Niger Delta has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his recent order for the forensic audit of the finances and activities of the NDDC.

This was made known at a press conference by the group in Abuja at the weekend, where they called for support for the developmental plans of the President Buhari’s administration.

In a speech read by the national secretary of the group, ‘General’ Nature Dumale Kieghe, the ex-agitators said, “We are in support of the forensic audit of the finances and activities of the NDDC from inception as ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We also support the interim management of the NDDC as recently inaugurated by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs to manage the process of the forensic audit and reposition the NDDC before the inauguration of the incoming board.

“The Transfer of the NDDC to the Ministry of Niger Delta affairs is a welcome development and we are in total support of it because it will bring about positive results and better supervision and coordination.”

Speaking also

A young Ijaw leader, Tamunor George, called on Niger Deltans to support the efforts of President Buhari reposition the NDDC for the benefit of the people as evident in his recent audit of the activities so that funds subsequently allocated would be judiciously utilized for the rapid development of the region.
