APC South-South caucus passes vote of confidence on Oshiomhole

The South-South APC Zonal Caucus has passed a vote of implicit confidence on the National Chairman of the ruling party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole noting that there is no family where there has not been crisis

The group led by the Zonal Vice Chairman, Ntufam Eta, made the declaration among other resolutions reached during the meeting held at the Aso Drive of the private office of the National Chairman.

Eta said the zonal working committee will set up reconciliations committee to compliment the work of the national reconciliation committee in Rivers, Edo, and Cross River state.

He said that, “The leadership of the Caucus of the South South Zone do unequivocally passed a vote of implicit confidence on the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole.”

Speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, the Deputy Senate President and leader of the APC South South Zonal Caucus in his contribution said since the 2019 general elections, and the recent Kogi and Bayelsa election, the party had had to contend with lots of problems. “We had problems because we have not been able to manage our success.

“Those problems are more or less ballooned into what I will call manageable crisis. So, we decided as a zone first in furtherance of the provisions of the APC constitution to meet and take a position on some of the issues. Principally, to try and reconcile our differences, put in place a body that will assist the national reconciliation committee that is being set up by the national leader of the party, Mr. President for the whole country.

Earlier, the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole in his speech noted that the party cannot be said to be functioning without its impact being felt from the unit up to the national level.
