Ember months: FRSC flag off campaign in Lokogoma

The Lokogoma unit command of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has flagged off its ember month’s campaign with a view to educating the motoring public on safety protocol.

The FCT sector commander, Mr. Gora Wobin, represented by the head of operations, Ochi Oga, appealed to motorists more especially NURTW members to cooperate with FRSC officials throughout the ember month’s period.

Wobin enjoined motorists to maintain the recommended 100 kilometer speed limit and avoid committing road infractions in order to arrive safely.

The sector commander tasked those traveling for the yuletide to plan their journey just as he stressed commitment to work in synergy with sister agencies to track down traffic offenders.

Contributing, the state coordinator FCT special Marshal, Engr. Adaji Usman, tasked operators to always abide by the traffic rules and regulations.

Earlier, in her welcome address the unit commander in charge of Lokogoma, ACC Ekpe Okpe, warned motoring public more especialOkada and motorcycle riders to avoid wrong driving, noting that her leadership would embark on aggressive public enlightenment campaign in motor parks and markets.

Meanwhile, the event featured durbar and commissioning of a new unit commander's office amongst others.
