Zuba fruit sellers appeal for social amenities

Members of the association of fruit sellers in Zuba have appealed to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammad Bello, to provide social amenities.

Chairman of the association, Alhaji Ibrahim Talba made the appeal in a chat with The Abuja Inquirer while calling on both the FCT administration and Gwagwalada area council to re-construct the market to standard.

He complained of good road, water and electricity supply in the fruit market noting that availability of social amenities would accelerate commercial activities in the market area.

Talba tasked members of the association to give the new executives necessary support and cooperation to enable him serve them better just he enjoined aggrieved traders to channel their complain to the appropriate authorities.

The chairman reiterated his commitment to ensure adequate security measures were provided in the market to prevent theft and other illegal activities.

He implored fruit sellers to remain law abiding citizen while conducting their legitimate businesses with a view to improving revenue generation to government.

The chairman noted that he would work together with leaderships of other trading associations in Zuba and environs geared towards bringing rapid socio-economic development in Gwagwalada area council.
