UniAbuja matriculates 4, 641
The University of Abuja has matriculated 4, 641 students for the 2019/2020 academic session.
Addressing the matriculated, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, disclosed that a total of 37, 403 applicants sought admission into the university this session just as he congratulated the successful candidates who gained admission.
He urged the students and staff to abide by the ethics, regulations and standards established by the university to ensure flawless academic pursuits.
The vice chancellor warned that there will be zero tolerance of breaches and unethical behaviour either on the part of students or lecturers.
“The University of Abuja has now zero tolerance of any breaches of its rules and regulations by any member of the university community be it students or staff.
“It is to demonstrate our resolve to maintain standards that the university recently dismissed some staff who were found to have committed obnoxious acts such as sexual harassment, tampering with student’s examination results, and falsification of academic records.
“Similarly, a good number of our students were disciplined due to their involvement in examination misconduct, cultism related activities and other malfeasance."
