Palliative: FCTA assures of transparency in distribution

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has assured residents of the  Federal Capital Territory that there will be transparency in the distribution of Palliatives to Vulnerable households.

 

 

This reassurance was reiterated by the Director, Department of Monitoring And Inspection,  TpL Olawale Labiyi during a meeting to brief Staff of the Department monitoring the distribution of food items across the area councils.
Labiyi said the Administration will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the distribution will not only be a success,  but that accountability and transparency is maintained.

He urged the monitoring and inspection team to be accurate in taking stock of what is on ground with dates and time, and ensure that what is meant for each Area Council is delivered to them.
The Director reminded them that there were other monitoring teams which include the Christian Association of Nigeria, the League of Imams, the Civil Rights/ None Governmental Groups and others.
According to Olawale Labiyi,  "You may wish to recall that the The Honourable Minister Of State has held meetings with Area Council Chairmen and Traditional Rulers in pursuance of a successful exercise."
He added that the Department of Monitoring And Inspection is representing the Administration and will be liaising with the Chairman, Monitoring Committee/ Director Human Resource Management, Alhaji Bashir Muhammad, to ensure that proper records are kept.
Speaking after the exercise at Abaji Area Council, Sani Twasko who also leads the monitoring teams, said he was elated about the whole exercise.

 

Sani who did his Monitoring assignment at Gawu Ward said he was impressed with the transparency of the exercise because
according to him, the recipients of the Palliatives are truly those in need.
