Foundation donates sick bay to JSS kurudu

A non governmental organisation, Queen  Agnes Foundation, QAF,  has donated a sick bay to  Government Junior Secondary School Kurudu, Abuja.


The facility which is worth over N2 million was equipped with the  support of the Nigerian Shippers Council, NSC.   


Founder of the Foundation, Mrs Thelma Akindoru, said the sick bay will go a long way in providing medical help for students in case of any medical emergency.


Akindoru disclosed that she approached the NSC when she realised the budget for the construction of the facility was too high, requesting assistance.


Also speaking, the Deputy Director Community Service, Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Bahir Abubakar,  appreciated the gesture of the NGO.


Abubakar assured the principal that everything will be done to  facilitate  the posting of a health personal to man the sick bay.


Equipment donated by the council include  two hospital beds,  two air mattresses,  two electric Irons and two rechargeable lamps, as well as four blankets,  four mosquito nets,  four white bed sheets,  four towels and one Honda Generator.


Other items include,  two hotwater bottles,  a rechargeable fan,  one double door fridge and four buckets.
