When taking the oath of office, leaders would promise Nigerians that they will defend the constitution of the Federal Republic and will not allow their personal interest to influence their official duties.

What I observed is that perhaps the senators escorted the Senate President into the tribunal to show their loyalty to him. The action was however not good.
This sympathy is too early. They would have waited to see the end of the case before taking such an action.
It is only in this country that politicians who are supposed to be custodians of the law rather violate it with impunity.
