DPO seeks FCT, Niger state policing partnership

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of ‘A Division’ in Suleja local government area of Niger State a neighboring town to the FCT, Mr. Sani Zubairu, has advocated for community policing partnership.

Zubairu, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, made the call when he received some community leaders in his office and intimated them on the need to always provide useful information to the police.

The Suleja police head said that crime rate reduced drastically in the area, noting that the division under him would continue to work in synergy with the residents to tackle criminality head long.

Zubairu tasked the community and religious leaders and vigilante members to sustain the support against criminal elements in Suleja and environs.

The police chief warned hoodlums in Suleja to desist or face the full wrath of the law even as he stressed that he would not fold his arms to allow anyone attempting to break law and order.

While appreciating the contributions of PCRC and vigilante members in the continuous war against criminal activities, he tasked the residents to regard crime fighting and control as a collective responsibility.

The DPO warned members of the public against taking laws into their hands just as he encouraged individuals to report their grievances to the police for necessary actions.
