As the clamour for a Christian vice presidential candidate gathers steam in the All Progressives Congress, APC, the Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has broken a 16 years’ jinx by naming a Christian, Samuel Gomna, as running mate for the 2023 governorship.

On Sunday, the PDP governorship candidate, Isah Kantigi, unveiled Gomna at the party secretariat in Minna the state capital.

Harping on the priority of his administration if elected, he said rural development, stemming rural-urban migration and an open door policy at top on his agenda.
The candidate said, “I am ready to die for you all, I am ready to die for the common man to make sure they are protected.”
