Following the 2023 Presidential Elections Petitions Court, PEPC, verdict, A Member, National Working Committee, NWC, All Progressives Congress, APC Tolu Bankole, extends warm congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory, emphasizing the significance of this moment for Nigeria’s democracy.
In a congratulatory message, Bankole hailed the President and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their triumph, highlighting the resilience of Nigeria’s democratic institutions. He praised the justices of the PEPC for their unwavering commitment to the rule of law despite facing cyber harassment and threats.
He said, “I join all the good people of this country to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Vice President Kashim Shettima on your victory at the 2023 Presidential Elections Petitions Court.”
Additionally, Bankole commended the media and civil society groups for their impartial reporting throughout the election process. He acknowledged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a credible and non-partisan presidential poll under challenging circumstances.
“I extend this courtesy to all the lord Justices of the Presidential Election Petitions Court for exhibiting uncommon courage in the face of extreme cyber stalking, harassment and threats orchestrated by the enemies of democracy to bully the judiciary.

He added, Today’s judgment is equally a commendation on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s credible and non-partisan conduct of presidential polls under most challenging circumstances.
Addressing the losing parties, Aare Bankole urged them to prioritize patriotism over political theatrics and work alongside the government to tackle the nation’s challenges. He emphasized that this moment calls for unity and collective efforts.
He said, “I urge the losers to prioritize patriotism above playing to the gallery. This is the time that all hands must be on deck to surmount the challenges currently faced by the country. There should be no difficulty for them to join hands with the renewed hope of the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if their focus is indeed service to the people.”
