In a significant tribute to his accomplishments, Dr. Donald Amagbo, a distinguished figure in the Nigerian advertising industry,has received a special honor in Benin Republic.
Dr. Amagbo, known for his impactful contributions to business growth and entrepreneurship in Nigeria, was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Policy and Administration by I-FATOOS University in Benin Republic.
The ceremony, held at the Palais DEB Congress hall in Cotonou, brought together prominent figures from both countries’ business communities.
The advertising expert, originally from Nasarawa State and based in Abuja, received the honorary doctorate in recognition of his substantial contributions to business development and entrepreneurship, both within Nigeria and on an international scale.
Prof. (Amb) Eze Chidi Nwauba, the Vice-chancellor of the University, praised the honorees for their ingenuity and wealth of experience, emphasizing their significant contributions to business and the multimedia industry within and beyond Nigeria.
“Dr Amagbo, was also honoured because of his outstanding contributions to youth development, business and entrepreneurial growth in Nigeria, as well as his commitment to the Africa’s growth agenda.
“Because of your commitment to the socio-economic development of Nigeria and Africa, for the fact that we need men and women, who are passionate about the growth and development of our continent and its people, we encourage you to join us in this University so that together we can develop Africa of our dreams”, Prof Eze appealed.
In his response: Dr. Amagbo, the MD/CEO of ADM Media Outdoor Ltd. Abuja, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and attributed it to his obedience and calling. He encouraged youth to embrace creativity, recognizing it as the spirit of innovation and enterprise that leads to greatness in life.
He also thanked the University for the honour, his family, friends, staff and associates, pledging his commitment to humanity for the rest of his life.
He added “we must continually innovate. If we do not innovate, we will die. To become great in life, creativity plays a significant role.”
The award was bestowed alongside another prominent Nigeria, the Iyaloja of Lagos, Dr Mrs Fatima Bintu Tinubu, bagged Doctor of Philosophy degree for Policy and Administration, honorary causa, from I-FATOOS University, Republic of Benin.
This honor serves as a testament to Dr. Amagbo’s commitment to business growth, entrepreneurial development, and the betterment of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
