The University of Abuja has announced the appointment of 17 new deans and a provost of faculties of the institution.
The appointments, which were announced on the social media pages of the university on Monday have one provost and 16 deans.
Professor Ibekwe Titus Sunday was appointed Provost of the College of Health Sciences of the university, while Prof Akeem Abolade Oyerinde was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Prof Madu Amuche Uzoamaka was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
Also appointed were Prof Apeh Hosea Abalaka as Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof Abdulfatai Jimoh as Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof Abugu Celestine Uwakwe as Dean, Faculty of Law and
Prof Oyadiran Phillip Adeyinka as Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences.
Professor Dankishiya Ahmed Salihu was also appointed the Dean, Faculty of Science, while Prof Olasupo Mutiullahi Adebayo was Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Prof Enem Simon Ikechukwu was appointed Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Others are Dr Khadijat Toyin Musah as Dean, Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Prof Lukman Alli as
Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Dr Thairu Yunusa as Dean, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences and Prof Chinda John Yola as Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
Also appointed were Prof Abdullateef Iyanda Bako as Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Prof Abdullahi Saleh Bashir as Dean, Faculty of Communication & Media Studies; and Prof Abdullahi Musa Ismail as Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
