Intending pilgrims willing to perform this year’s Hajj from the FCT, will have to pay the sum of N8,457,685.59, as the FCTA Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has approved the amount as the 2025 Hajj fare.
The board in a statement on Tuesday, asked intending pilgrims who have made deposits, to complete payment before Thursday 30th January to be part of this year’s religious journey.
The state signed by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Muhammad Lawal, explained that all payment to the board must be via a bank draft as no cash transaction would be entertained.
He added that all payments for the Hajj exercise are to be concluded before the deadline to enable the board to compile the actual list of intending pilgrims for the exercise this year and to remit all funds to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
He stated that the Board has initiated negotiations with service providers in Saudi Arabia for the provision of feeding and a befitting accommodation in Makkah during this year’s Hajj.
Lawal noted that the negotiation is inline with the desire of the board to render the best services to FCT contingent to this year’s hajj in accordance with the New Hope Agenda of the present Administration.
