FG hails JRB for Abuja–Keffi road work

The Federal Government has commended JRB Construction Company Limited for its exceptional performance on the Abuja–Keffi dual carriageway project, following the firm’s rapid progress and high-quality execution of the emergency intervention awarded in October 2025.

During an inspection of the project site, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, expressed satisfaction with the pace and standard of work delivered by the indigenous construction company. He described the ongoing reconstruction as impressive and comparable to that of major global firms.

“JRB’s work is top-notch. You won’t see any difference between JRB and China Harbour, and their speed is unmatched,” Umahi said. “In fact, the speed of JRB has prompted China Harbour to speed up their own work on the project.”

The Minister further applauded the company’s patriotism and commitment to excellence, assuring that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fully aware of their performance. “This is the kind of people that will grow this country. Be assured that Mr President is aware of what you are doing. And you are going to be paid to the last kobo,” he said.

Umahi reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting and empowering indigenous construction firms that demonstrate capacity, integrity, and quality delivery. He encouraged other Nigerian construction companies to emulate JRB’s performance, noting their role in strengthening national development.

The Abuja–Keffi dual carriageway project, a key infrastructural corridor linking the FCT to Nasarawa State, aims to improve connectivity and reduce travel time for commuters. The emergency reconstruction is expected to be completed within four months, by March 2026.

Recognised as one of the leading indigenous construction companies in Nigeria, JRB Construction Company Limited has built a strong reputation for quality execution and timely delivery. The Federal Government’s commendation further reinforces its standing as a reliable partner in the nation’s infrastructure development.

The government has pledged continued support for capable indigenous firms, acknowledging their critical role in driving growth, enhancing local capacity, and contributing to the country’s long-term development.
