Fred Majemite joins Delta Central senatorial race, banks on grassroots support

Chief Olorogun Fred Majemite, a one time Commissioner for Lands in Delta State,
has announced his bid to run for the Nigerian Senate in the next elections in 2027. He spoke in Ughelli, Delta State.

He called on key political stakeholders of the Senatorial District to unite behind his ambition, saying that the time has come for leaders across the district to rally behind him in the interest of effective representation and sustained development.

Olorugun Majemite emphasized the need to prioritize government policies capable of improving the well-being of the people.
According to him, public office should be anchored on genuine service, not personal gain, and he remains committed to championing policies that will uplift communities across Delta Central.

Speaking further, Majemite described himself as “a man of the people,” noting that his aspiration is rooted in his long-standing relationship with the grassroots communities. He said the trust and confidence reposed in him over the years has continued to inspire his resolve to serve at a higher capacity.

He explained that his decision to contest for the Senate is borne out of the love he has for his people and his desire to attract meaningful development to the district. Majemite assured constituents that he would bring quality representation, backed by passion, experience, and a clear vision for progress.

While urging delegates, leaders, and supporters to stand with him, Majemite reaffirmed his commitment to delivering the “best of the best” to Delta Central. He maintained that the red chambers offer a strategic platform to deepen legislative impact and ensure that the voices of his people are adequately heard and respected.
