Former Director of Development Control in the Federal Capital Territory Administration,, Tpl Mukhtar Galadima, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Taraba State.
Galadima registered as a member on Monday at the APC secretariat in Ibi, headquarters of Ibi Local Government Area.
He told party officials and supporters that his decision followed the clarion call of the people of Ibi Local Government Area to join politics and APC as a party because of its manifestos, which is in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Ahmed Tinubu.
The former director, who recently retired, but now serves as Senior Special Adviser on Development Control to the FCT Minister, said that as an obedient son of the soil, he has no option than to obey the popular will and aspirations of his people.
Galadima also highlighted projects he facilitated during his career, including employment opportunities for youths, empowerment schemes for women and youth groups, solar boreholes for communities in Ibi and Wukari, support to Islamic and Christian bodies, an ongoing hospital project in Ibi, and participation in major development meetings for the Ibi–Wukari axis.
APC Chairman in Ibi LGA, Shaibu Samaila, welcomed his entry into the party, thanking him for responding to the call of his people.
He said Galadima made the right choice, stating that APC today in Nigeria is the most acceptable and populous party in Nigeria and Taraba State in particular.
He urged members to give full cooperation to ensure the growth and success of the party.
Monday’s event featured the presentation of the APC membership card, party chants and a rally across the town.
