In a remarkable political development, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed jubilation as Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto, former deputy governor of Niger State, led a cadre of founding members back into the APC.
This strategic return, announced at the national headquarters, marks a pivotal moment for the APC’s political landscape.
Dr. Ganduje, alongside members of the National Working Committee (NWC), welcomed Ibeto, Hon. Ibrahim Ebbo, and Hon Idris Azozo back into the party fold, applauding their decision to rejoin.
Looking ahead, Dr. Ganduje predicted a brighter future for the APC, envisioning dominance in Niger State and anticipating success in the 2027 elections.
He assured the returning members of full integration into the party structure, signaling a united front as the APC readies itself for upcoming political challenges.
He said,“My brother, the former deputy governor, has come back home. This is a new development, and it’s a welcome development for APC.
“From what we are planning, 2027 will be a better followership and a better victory for APC.“Even though Niger State has been an APC State, there’s no doubt that we’re increasing our strength and followership, especially with the return of these three gentlemen who are representing other big dignitaries who couldn’t make it here.
“So, we assure you, you’ll be fully integrated”, he said.
Earlier, “The former deputy governor pledged unwavering loyalty to the APC, emphasizing their commitment to a people-oriented leadership focused on the welfare of the citizens.
The trio’s return was marked by their interaction with the Governor of Niger State, where assurances were given regarding their acceptance at all levels of the party structure. Alhaji Ibeto refrained from delving into the reasons for their initial departure but cited the collaborative efforts between the government and the party as a driving force for their return.
Congratulating Dr. Ganduje on recent accomplishments, especially election victories in Kogi and Imo States, Alhaji Ibeto highlighted the party’s growing strength under the National Chairman’s leadership. He outlined the vision for a united APC, not only in Niger State but throughout the country.
