APC supports persons with disabilities with cash, food aid

The All Progressives Congress has distributed cash and food items to persons with disabilities in the Federal Capital Territory as part of efforts to promote inclusion and support vulnerable groups.

The presentation took place at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja and was conducted on behalf of the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, by his Principal Private Secretary, Jibrin Kamga Bancir.

The beneficiaries were drawn from various disability clusters, including persons with visual and hearing impairments, as well as other disability groups.

Speaking at the event, Bancir said the intervention reflected the party’s commitment to ensuring that persons with disabilities benefit from programmes and opportunities under the APC-led administration.

He noted that the initiative was being championed by the APC National Leader of Persons with Disabilities, Aare Tolu Bankole, with the support of the party leadership.

According to him, the APC remains committed to advancing the welfare of persons with disabilities and encouraging their active participation in the party and national development.

Also speaking, Bankole expressed appreciation to the APC National Chairman for supporting disability inclusion and programmes targeted at improving the wellbeing of persons with disabilities across the country.

He described the intervention as part of ongoing efforts to provide relief and support to members of the disability community.

“We are stronger together. I appreciate the support of the National Chairman for his love and commitment to persons with disabilities nationwide,” Bankole said.

Some of the beneficiaries commended the party for the gesture, describing the cash and food items as timely support amid prevailing economic challenges.

The APC reiterated its commitment to promoting the welfare, empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The party also pledged to sustain programmes aimed at expanding opportunities and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities across the country.
