Atiku endorses campaign group for 2019

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has thrown his weight behind thousands of supporters under the aegis of Atiku Rescue Nigeria Team drawn from the six geopolitical zones of the country.

The endorsement of the group took place at the national secretariat of the group in Abuja, during the inauguration of the state executive council of Atiku Rescue Nigeria Team, aimed at addressing the lingering economic depression and lack of direction of the present government.

Speaking to journalists at the end of the inauguration, the national coordinator of the group, Asiwaju Oladokun Babafemi, revealed that membership of the organisation comprises all eligible Nigerian voters who believe in the political aspiration and ideologies of the Wazirin Adamawa, irrespective of religious or ethnic background.

According to him, "membership of this group has gone beyond tribal, religious and party sentiments. As our name implies, we must come together to save this country from total collapse."

"Atiku Abubakar has been a consistent ideologist and politician. He is a detribalized Nigerian, someone that is accepted in every parts of the country. President Buhari has done his bit, age and health are not on his side. In 2019, we want Atiku," he affirmed.

Also speaking at the occasion, the National Publicity Secretary, Prince Rapheal Clem, said Atiku cannot be intimidated, stating that 2019 is the appointed time and no one can stop that.

"We as a people are determined to use everything at our disposal, in collaboration with other well-meaning people across Nigeria to make the Atiku presidency a reality," he stated.
