2023: APC has not released timetable for primaries—- Spokesperson

The National Publicity Secretary,NPS, of the ruling All progressives Congress,APC, Barrister Felix Morka has debunked reports going on in some sections of media that the Party has released it’s schedule of primaries timetable. 

The NPS made this announcement while speaking to journalists after a meeting with the National Working Committee held at the party’s national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.

“Today is the 6th of April 2022. The  NWC or the All progressives Congress met. I will just rose from that meeting. Among other topics covered, as you probably expected, we discussed the program for our party’s primaries, looking at the schedule of activities that are to come. But no, I am not able to give you a rundown of the details of that schedule because, you know, that is still in discussion. We are yet to conclude on its definite plan, or timetable or schedule for primers but I can confirm that we did have that conversation today. At least we did begin that conversation today. But we are not concluded and upon made any decisions that I can convey to you”

 On the reports on making media rounds Morka said ” I can confirm that we had discussions but we have not made any decision so I’m not aware of anything that’s trending because we have not put out information.”

He emphasized “Well, we have not put out any information to the public about the schedule for primaries. But what I’m confirming to you is that we had that discussion, and that discussion is still in progress. And as soon as the details concluded, and a decision is made, you’ll know And as soon as the details conclude, and a decision is made, you know, you’ll be the first to see or hear about it. He said,”.

Furthermore, “Now both the ministers and appointees and the party leadership have excellent counsel and guidance. I am sure that everyone involved intends to comply fully with both the  internment of and the letters of Electoral Act .
