An administrative staff of The Guardian newspapers, Mr. Ajibade Alagbe, has been abducted from his home in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Alagbe, who is a secretary with the media house was reportedly kidnapped around 2am when gunmen stormed his residence along Kaduna-Abuja road, behind Zuma rock, Chachi, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
Though details of the incidence is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, family members of the kidnapped victim say they have been contacted by the kidnappers who are demanding a N5million ransom for Alagbe’s release.
However, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the police has activated operational effort towards ensuring the safe return of the victim.
